Destinations: Egypt and Argentina

We are featuring two new trips for the coming year. The first is to Egypt. After arriving, we will check into our hotel and enjoy the sights for two days in Cairo, including the famous Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. Next, we will fly to Luxor to visit the Temple of Karnak and then boad our luxury Nile cruise boat, the Sun Queen VII. As we slowly cruise down the Nile, our stops will include Qena, the Ptolemaic Temple of Goddess Hathor in Denderah, the Edfu Temple, the Kom Ombo Temple, and the Philae Temple. We will enjoy a felucca ride around Elephantine Island, and then attend a formal farewell dinner the last night onboard our boat. We return to Cairo and enjoy a day in the market and a walking tour of the old walled city of Cairo.

Argentina is our next destination. We begin our tour in Buenos Aires on our first day with an orientation to this lovely city, including the gardens of Palermo, San Telmo, the business center, La Boca, and Recoleta Cemetery. That evening we will attend a Tango class to learn basic tango steps before having a chance to show off our talents at a dinner and tango show. The two main features for most people on this trip are the magnificient Iguassu Falls and Perito Moreno Glacier. The most adventurous can strap on trampons and trek across the glacier. A trek across a glacier with the beautiful blue Patagonia skys overhead is not to be forgotten. With luck, you will witness a calving, when ice breaks off the glacier with a crash of thunder and falls to the water.
